Anita Nevyas-Wallace, M.D.

Anita Nevyas-Wallace, M.D.

Dr. Anita Nevyas-Wallace is a board certified and fellowship trained anterior segment specialist with expertise in cataract, LASIK, and refractive surgery. An innovator in the field of refractive surgery, she holds multiple patents for instrumentation she designed to make refractive procedures safer and more precise. In 2012, she was recognized by the American Academy of Ophthalmology for her contributions to ophthalmology and scientific and educational programs with their prestigious Achievement Award.

Dr. Nevyas-Wallace is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where she had the honor of being named a University Scholar for undergraduate and medical education. After her graduation from medical school, she completed her residency in ophthalmology at the Scheie Eye Institute of the University of Pennsylvania, followed by a surgical fellowship at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. She has held faculty appointments at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Nevyas-Wallace has taught refractive surgery since 1993 and serves as senior instructor for hands-on training in cataract surgical technique for the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She has been recognized by the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery for her innovative work. Dr. Nevyas-Wallace has performed charitable surgery and taught surgical techniques internationally. She is an accomplished lecturer and author of scholarly medical publications.
