Education
Moore Eye Institute is committed to doctor and patient education. We partner with local institutions to bring educational programs about eye health, diabetes, and wellness to medical professionals and our local community. Our partners in education include Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Salus University, Phoenixville Hospital, and Crozer-Keystone Health System.
Patient Education
Moore’s team is dedicated to educating patients on their individual conditions. Our doctors answer all questions thoroughly after making a diagnosis. Educational videos are offered for patients to view in office or sent electronically for convenience.
The team at Moore enthusiastically teaches about age-related eye conditions, such as cataracts and macular degeneration, as well as potentially blinding conditions like glaucoma and refractive surgery options such as LASIK. Moore’s doctors are esteemed lecturers and often speak domestically and abroad.

Continuing Education & Continuing Medical Education
Moore is devoted to providing continuing education programs (CE/CMEs) to healthcare professionals. Moore has coordinated numerous CE programs with the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Crozer-Keystone Health System, and others.
Moore Eye Institute’s Eye on Education is an optometric educational event for health care professionals in March during Save Your Vision month.
Moore recognizes the importance of ongoing education, and we’re dedicated to providing these opportunities.
Residency & Externship Programs
Moore Eye Institute is enthusiastic about teaching tomorrow’s physicians. Moore offers both an ophthalmology residency and an optometry externship. Residents are afforded the luxury of working with retina and anterior physicians, an atypical opportunity that truly develops their skills and prepares them for practice. Optometry externs are equally fortunate, as they train with world-renowned low vision experts.
