What to Expect
Moore Eye Institute will never leave any stone unturned when it comes to your eye care. When visiting Moore, you can expect a thorough eye exam conducted by one of our expert physicians.
A typical visit begins when you are greeted by one of our receptionists. They will check you in by collecting your general information and insurance details, and answering any questions you may have. Please be sure to have a photo ID and your insurance card(s) with you at the time of your visit.
Next, you will meet our ophthalmic technicians. They will inquire about your medical history, the reason for your visit, and prepare your eyes for the doctor. They can answer questions about your eyes or let you know if specific questions are better suited for your doctor. They may dilate your eyes with special drops so the doctor can view the back of your eye. The drops need about 20 minutes to take effect before your doctor sees you.
Whichever Moore doctor sees you on the day of your visit, know that your eyes are in the most capable hands. They will tailor care specifically to your individualized needs. If testing is required, it will be performed in our office at the time of your visit. This is why you may spend a few hours with us; but if it is more convenient for you, you may always schedule another appointment for testing.
Moore’s doctors, technicians, surgical schedulers, and staff will take all the time you need to discuss your condition. When your appointment is finished, a receptionist will check you out and schedule your next visit.
